INTENSE & FLORAL


Here we are in the absolute super league when it comes to rosé wine. Domaine Tempier sets the bar for how high quality this type of wine can be, and their exclusive wines act as a guideline that all other serious producers follow.This intense and fruity French rosé is characterized by a finely balanced acidity and notes of peach, strawberry and pomegranate. It is primarily based on Mourvedre (50%), while the rest of the blend is made up of equal parts Grenache and Cinsault. The grapes for Tempier's rosé come from specially selected fields with vines that are on average 20 years old. The yield from this is deliberately kept very low, which explains the intense concentration in the wine.The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected both in the fields and in the cellar, after which they are subjected to direct pressure or "bleed" in the vat (saignée method) under the weight of the top grapes. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, and the wine is stored for 8 months in concrete tanks before it is bottled.The result is nothing less than world-class rosé. Intense and lighter floral with fruity nuances of peach, pomegranate and strawberry balanced by a fine acidity and an underlying minerality.

Denne intense og frugtige franske rosé er præget af en fint afstemt syre og noter af fersken, jordbær og granatæble. Den er primært baseret på Mourvedre (50%), mens resten af blendet udgøres af ligedele Grenache og Cinsault. Druerne til Tempiers rosé kommer fra særligt udvalgte marker med i gennemsnit 20 år gamle vinstokke. Udbyttet herfra holdes bevidst meget lavt, hvilket forklarer den intense koncentration i vinen. Druerne håndhøstes og selektres omhyggeligt både i markerne og i kælderen, hvorefter de udsættes for direkte pres eller ”bløder” i karret (saignée-metoden) under vægten af de øverste druer. Vinifikationen sker i temperaturkontrollerede ståltanke, og vinen lagres i 8 måneder i betontanke, inden den aftappes. Resultatet er intet mindre end rosé i verdensklasse. Intens og lettere floral med frugtige nuancer af fersken, granatæble og jordbær balanceret af en fin syre og en underliggende mineralitet.

Many positive things have been said about Domaine Tempier. The fame rests, among other things, on the domaine's rosé, which is considered by many to be the best in Provence. A top-class Rosé, which is made from Mourvedre, Cinsault and Grenache grapes.Also the red Cuvée 'Bandol Rouge' is a blend of Mourvedre, Cinsault and Grenache, while the winery is also behind a refreshing white wine made from Ugni Blanc and Clairette grapes. And it is not the winery alone that should be praised for the excellent results. The oenologist Daniel Ravier has his very significant share in the quality, which he has a firm hand over in the winery.However, the greatest strength of Domaine Tempier is their famous single vineyard wines: La Tourtine, Migoua and Cabassaou. For everyone, it is fields with vines that have long since turned 50 years old. It is therefore fully deserved that many mention precisely these fields when they have to name the best exponents of the wines from Bandol.
