COMPLEX & BALANCED

Super Tuscan with a complex and charming aroma testifies to the fresh and crisp fruity taste with a silky smooth and persistent finish. The grapes come from Crebreo's fields around Greve in Chianti. The blend is Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine ages in 225 liters of French oak, of which 30% new oak, 40% one year and 30% two years old - for 18 months and then a further 6 months in bottle.

TENUTE DEL CABREO

Tenute del Cabreo, which became part of the Folonari family in 1967, works in the areas around the town of Greve in Chianti. The first, known as Zano, is planted with 45 ha. fields of Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes from here are used for the wine Cabreo. The second area is located in Panzano on Chianti Classico's highest hills. Here, the house has 20 ha. with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which are used for the wines La Pietra and Black.The history of Ambrogio and Giovanni Folonari goes back more than 200 years. Their ancestor, Lorenzo Folonari, was born in 1729. Like many others, he created a business within e.g. wine production. The next generations expanded the business, i.a. via the acquisition of various wine producers in Tuscany. Tenuta del Cabreo and Tenuta di Nozzole, both in Chianti, were bought in respectively 1967 and 1971.In the year 2000, Ambrogio, together with his son Giovanni, founded the company Tenute Ambrogio e Giovanni Folonari, which consisted of five vineyards in Tuscany. The firm strives to promote the region and its diversity with a focus on high quality, elegance, distinct character and ties to the various local districts.Quality, innovation and respect for local conditions are values ​​that the family strives for.
