FRESH & SWEET
The wine has notes of apricot, both fresh and dried, almonds and honey. The sweetness is balanced by a really fine acidity, so that the glass appears neat and clean.In recent years, White Port wine has become a very popular product. White port wine is made just like a Tawny-style (cask-aged port wine), and therefore falls under the same category as these, but the white port wines are made exclusively from green grapes. The cask aging and oxygenation means that the wine is not 'white', as we know it from e.g. white wine, but a delicious golden color.
FRISK & SØD
Vinen har noter af abrikos, både frisk og tørret, mandler og honning. Sødmen balanceres af en virkelig fin syre, så glasset fremstår rankt og rent.
Inden for de sidste år er Hvid Portvin blevet et meget populært produkt. Hvid portvin laves lige som en Tawny-style (fadlagret portvin), og går derfor ind under samme kategori som disse, men de hvide portvine er udelukkende lavet på grønne druer. Fadlagringen og iltning gør at vinen dog ikke er ‘hvid’, som vi kender den fra f.eks. hvidvin, men en lækker gylden farve.
