TAPS Winebar

Dyrehøj Vingaard

RÖS Cuvée Rosé

FULL & LONG

A pure clear aroma of strawberries with cream from the rondo grape and taste of trifle with macaroons characterizes this wine. The taste is full-bodied and sticky and the acidity pleasantly balanced.
The grapes are harvested by hand. The grapes were then brought to the winery, where they were immediately stalked and gently pressed. The must is fermented at cool temperature in cooled steel tanks. The wine is eventually pieced together by Rondo and Cabernet Cantor.

ABOUT THE WINERY

DYREHØJ VINGAARD

Dyrehøj Vingaard is located on the sunny Røsnæs near Kalundborg and is Denmark's largest vineyard with over 30,000 vines. The first vines were planted in 2008. The calcareous slopes and the cool climate provide a great basis for growing grapes. In the wine cellar, RÖS is created by the winemaker and the entire team behind the vineyard. The grape varieties in the fields are divided into 6 white wine varieties and 13 different red wine varieties. The climate at Røsnæs is one of the driest and sunniest in Denmark. The Røsnæs peninsula is a mound of clay, sand, gravel and stone, which was pushed up during the last ice age.

General grape descriptions

Rondo

The Rondo grape typically does not create easy red wines, but wines that require a little work. Rondo must have time, so first the wine must be stored for a long time in barrels, then for several years in bottle, but that does not make it fragile. When you want to enjoy it, it still needs some air to show its charming sides. It is strong red wine, with good intensity and fullness.
